“Empowering Communities: Calangute Village Panchayat Concludes Village Development Program”

The Village Panchayat of Calangute successfully concluded its Village Development Program with a comprehensive Development Training Session conducted by renowned Business Coach Mr. Himadri Shailendra Sinha. The day-long program, held at Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 entrepreneurs, professionals, and aspiring businesspersons from the region.
Mr. Premanand Diukar was the Project Coordinator who have conceptualized entire GV 1.0 Village Development Program. The Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Calangute Mr. Joseph Sequeira welcomed the gathering.
The interactive training session commenced at 10:00 a.m. and concluded at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Closing Ceremony of the Village Development Program that spanned from October 2nd to October 16th, 2025.
The event was graced by distinguished guests Mr. Michael Lobo, Mr. Joseph Sequeira, and Mr. Ashton Santamaria, who commended the Panchayat’s initiative in fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance at the village level.
During the ceremony, Ms. Anushree Premanand Diukar was felicitated with a Memento and Young Achiever Award in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments in Business Growth.
Prominent business personalities from Calangute were also honoured for their contribution to society, including Dr. Nadia D’Souza, Mr. Tito Goes Proenca, Mr. Prashant Korgaokar, and Dr. Lina Lawande.
The program was anchored by Mr. Sachin Kurtikar, while Mr. Sapnesh Vaigankar delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests, trainers, and participants for their support and involvement in making the Village Development Program a resounding success.
This initiative by the Village Panchayat of Calangute marks yet another step towards empowering local communities through knowledge, collaboration, and leadership development.
